Missing the "style.css" stylesheet error?
A common issue that can occur when installing a WordPress theme is “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet”
Please make sure you are uploading only the installable theme:
- Unzip the package you downloaded.
- Find "foxiz.zip" inside it. Do not unzip that one.
- Upload "foxiz.zip" at Appearance > Themes > Add Theme > Upload Theme.
WordPress is telling you the truth literally: it opened the zip you gave it and found no style.css at the top of the folder inside. The full download is a wrapper holding documentation, license files and the theme, so the theme is a zip inside a zip. The one WordPress wants unpacks to a folder named foxiz with style.css directly inside it.
