What does my Foxiz license include?
Your license unlocks the Foxiz theme and the Foxiz Core plugin, every premium demo with one-click import, automatic theme and plugin updates, and premium support, for the number of production sites in your plan: Starter covers 1 site, Professional 3, and Business 10 or 100 (your choice at checkout). Local and staging environments are always free and unlimited, so they never count against your quota.
Can I use Foxiz on websites I build for clients?
Yes. You may use Foxiz on your own projects and on production sites you build for clients, up to the number of sites in your plan. Each client production site counts toward your quota, and you can hand a finished site over to your client. Sharing your license so others can activate their own separate sites is not permitted.
Can I move my license to a new domain?
Yes, as often as you need: there is no limit on how many times you move a license over its lifetime. Redesigns, host changes, and domain moves are all fine: deactivate Foxiz on the old site, then activate it on the new one, and reconnecting a domain you have used before is always free. Your plan covers a set number of production sites running at the same time (Starter 1, Professional 3, Business 10 or 100); moving a license is a courtesy we provide on top of the standard terms, on the understanding that the old site is no longer using Foxiz. Local and staging environments never count.
What if my license gets locked?
If a single license appears to be running on more live sites at the same time than your plan allows, we may temporarily lock it for review. Your existing sites keep working, but theme and plugin updates, demo imports, and new activations pause until it is restored. If you believe this was a mistake, verify ownership of your license on our unlock page and our team will review and restore it, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
Can I share, resell, or transfer my license?
No. Your license is for your use under a single account and may not be shared, resold, sublicensed, or distributed, and your license key must be kept private. Bundling Foxiz into a theme pack or any competing product is also not allowed. Sharing or reselling a license may lead to it being suspended or terminated without a refund.
What happens if I do not renew my license?
Don’t worry, your site keeps running and your visitors won’t notice a thing. An inactive license simply pauses the perks: automatic updates, security patches, new features, demo and download access, and premium support. We’d recommend keeping it active so your site stays secure and up to date with the latest WordPress.
Will Foxiz keep working after my license expires?
Absolutely. Foxiz and Foxiz Core stay installed and keep running long after a license expires, and nothing gets switched off. The only catch is over time: without updates, an older version can eventually bump into compatibility issues with newer WordPress, plugin, or PHP releases. Renewing keeps everything smooth, secure, and supported.
Annual or lifetime, which should I choose?
Annual plans are billed once a year and keep your updates and support active while the subscription runs. A lifetime plan is a single one-time payment for the same site quota, with updates and support that never renew. The Business plan (10 or 100 sites) is available on annual billing only; lifetime is available for the Starter and Professional plans.
How does renewal work?
Annual subscriptions renew automatically through Freemius so your updates and support never lapse. Renewals are charged at your plan’s standard annual price. If you used a promotional or first-year discount code at checkout, that offer applies to your first term only, unless the coupon states otherwise. You stay in control: Freemius emails you before each renewal, and you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Freemius account. If you cancel, your license simply stops renewing at the end of the current term and your site keeps running.
How does Foxiz count a WordPress Multisite network?
A Multisite network is a group of separate websites sharing one WordPress installation, and Foxiz counts them the way WordPress treats them. Each site in the network that runs Foxiz uses one production site from your plan. It makes no difference whether the network is built on subdirectories (example.com/travel/) or on subdomains (travel.example.com).
That is because a network site really is its own website. It has its own content, its own settings, its own theme options, and its own database tables. A network of four brand magazines is four Foxiz sites, so it needs a plan that covers four.
Network-activating the theme adds Foxiz to the themes available across your network, but it does not connect them to your license. Each site is activated from its own dashboard, and that is the point where it takes a production site from your plan. Sites still on a local or staging address are recognized automatically and never count, so you can build the next one before it goes live.
Publishing in several languages? If that is your only reason for running a network, a translation plugin such as WPML, Polylang, or TranslatePress keeps every language on one WordPress installation, and one production site. A network earns its keep when each edition needs its own editors, plugins, or settings.
Which staging and development sites are free?
Activate your license on each production site. Development environments are recognized automatically from their address and never count toward your site limit, so you can build and test freely. Foxiz treats all of these as free:
- Local installs: localhost, private and reserved IP addresses (10.x.x.x, 172.16-31.x.x, 192.168.x.x, 127.0.0.1), and addresses ending in .local, .test, .localhost, .loc, .wp, .invalid, or .example. This covers Local by Flywheel, MAMP, XAMPP, Laravel Valet, DDEV, and Lando out of the box.
- Staging and testing subdomains: any address starting with staging., stage., stg., dev., development., test., testing., demo., preview., sandbox., local., qa., uat., sit., beta., alpha., acc., acceptance., preprod., pre-prod., or ppe. The words staging, stage, dev, test, local, qa, and uat are also recognized in the middle of a hostname, so site.staging.example.com is free too.
- Temporary URLs from managed hosts: the generated address your host gives you before a domain is pointed at the site, including WP Engine, Kinsta, Cloudways, Pantheon, Flywheel, SiteGround, Hostinger, GoDaddy, DreamHost, Rocket.net, RAIDBOXES, RunCloud, WPMU DEV, WordPress.com staging, and cPanel temporary domains.
- Sandboxes, previews, and tunnels: including InstaWP, TasteWP, WP Sandbox, WP Stagecoach, ngrok, Cloudflare Tunnel, nip.io, sslip.io, localtest.me, lvh.me, Gitpod, GitHub Codespaces, Replit, Fly.io, Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, Render, Heroku, and Azure App Service.
Detection reads the address and nothing else, so a staging copy sitting on an ordinary domain (staging-example.com, for example) is not recognized and does take a production site. Move it to a staging. subdomain and it becomes free again.
When you launch, the real domain becomes a production site and takes one from your plan, so it is worth checking you have a free site available before you point the domain across.
How do I request a refund?
How you request a refund depends on where you bought Foxiz.
Bought directly from this store (billed through Freemius): you are covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee. If something isn’t working right, contact our support team (or use the license link in your Freemius receipt email) within 14 days, and we’ll do our best to make it right. See our Refund Policy for the details.
Bought Foxiz Classic on ThemeForest: refunds are handled by Envato under their own refund rules, so please submit your request through Envato’s refund process rather than through us.
How do I renew or manage my license?
