Using These Docs with Foxiz Classic
These docs are written for Foxiz Next, the edition sold at foxiz.io. Its version numbers start with 3.
Foxiz Classic is the edition sold on ThemeForest. Its version numbers start with 2. To see which one you have, go to Appearance > Themes and click the Foxiz card. The version is next to the name.
What you can follow
Both editions are the same theme at heart. Most of what these docs describe works the same way on Foxiz Classic:
- Theme Options
- the Elementor blocks and Ruby Templates
- headers, footers and menus
- posts, pages and archives
- widgets, ads, bookmarks and the other everyday settings
If you use Foxiz Classic, you can follow these articles as they are.
What you may not find
Foxiz Next keeps getting new features. Foxiz Classic receives security and maintenance updates, but not the new features. So some articles describe things that are not in Foxiz Classic. For example:
- the AI Assistant and the Write with AI articles
- Summarize with AI
- Turnstile spam protection
- Foxiz in the command palette
- license activation from your store.foxiz.io account
If an article describes a menu, panel or setting you cannot find, it is most likely a Foxiz Next feature. It is not missing from your site by mistake.
Getting the newer features
To get every feature in these docs, move to Foxiz Next. Your content and settings stay. How to Move from Foxiz Classic to Foxiz Next explains the benefits and walks through the move step by step.
