Navigator: share() method

The Native Share switch adds a button drawn with three dots at the end of a share bar. Its tooltip reads More. It shares the post's title and link through the device's own share menu, so a reader can pass the post to any app that menu offers. It shows only in browsers that support it, which mostly means phones.
The title of this page is the browser feature behind it: the navigator.share() method of the Web Share API, which opens that share menu.
Each of the four share bars has its own switch for it, all called Native Share and all on by default. Every one of them needs its own bar switched on first, so the setting stays hidden until the bar above it is enabled:
- Theme Options > Single Post > Entry Meta > Right Section - Share on Socials > Native Share, for the bar in the entry meta row.
- Theme Options > Single Post > Share on Socials > At Bottom of Post Content > Native Share, for the bar under the article.
- Theme Options > Single Post > Fixed Left Section > Native Share, for the floating column beside the article.
- Theme Options > Single Post > Sticky Headline > Native Share, for the bar in the sticky title strip.
The button is also left out of AMP pages entirely, since there is no script there to answer the click.
Browser compatibility
Foxiz does not try to detect a browser. It asks the browser whether navigator.share exists, and where it does not, the button is hidden rather than left there to fail. So a desktop browser without the Web Share API shows the share bar one icon shorter, which is the expected result and not a fault.
The Copy Link button beside it works the same way, against navigator.clipboard, and disappears on a browser that does not offer it.
