Ads & Slide Up

This tab holds the ad spots the theme places for you: AdSense auto ads, an ad at the top of the site, ads inside post content, and the slide up section at the foot of the screen. Paste a code or upload an image once and it shows on every page that has that spot.

The Enterprise demo's slide up panel open at the foot of the window: a newsletter form with the heading All the latest Foxiz news straight to your inbox, an email field and a Sign Up button, outlined in orange, with the panel's collapse tab above its right corner

Where to find it

Go to Theme Options > Ads & Slide Up. The tab has no settings of its own. Click it and it opens a list of four subsections; each subsection has its own settings.

After changing anything, click Save Changes. The button is at the bottom of the panel, and also in the bar that stays at the top while you scroll.

Ads & Slide Up or another place?

Not every ad spot is in this tab:

  • Above the header, inside posts, auto ads and the slide up: Ads & Slide Up, this tab.
  • Below the header, under the navigation: the Header Advertising widget area, in Appearance > Widgets.
  • Inside single podcast episodes: turn on Inline Content Ads Supported in Ruby Podcast > General.
  • On AMP pages: AMP > AMP Ads and AMP > AMP Auto Ads.
  • In a sidebar or on an Elementor page: the Foxiz ad widgets and blocks. See the Common jobs below.

What is inside, by job

The Theme Options menu on the left lists the subsections in panel order. Here they are grouped by what you are trying to do.

Let Google place the ads

  • Adsense - Auto Ads: AdSense auto ads, which place ads where they are likely to perform.

Place an ad in a fixed spot

  • Top Site: an ad at the top of the site.
  • Inline Single Content: ads inside the single post content. Up to three, for Ad 1 to for Ad 3, each after a paragraph number you choose. By default they sit after paragraphs 4, 9 and 12.

Show something that slides up

  • Footer Slide Up: ads or any shortcode in a section that slides up at the foot of the screen.

Every field of all four is covered in every setting in the Ads & Slide Up panel.

Good to know

Each fixed spot takes a script or an image. Every type field is set to Script by default:

  • Top Site: Ad Type, with Script or Custom Image.
  • Inline Single Content: one type field per ad, Ad 1 - Type to Ad 3 - Type, each with Script or Image.

Fill the fields that match the type you picked.

Auto ads and your own ad units do not mix well. The panel's own notes:

  • Use one Auto Ads code only.
  • Deactivate other AdSense unit codes while auto ads run.
  • Allow Other Ads Placement is off by default. Turn it on only if you want both at once; it applies to AMP too.

Auto ads stay off WooCommerce pages. Disable on Woocommerce Pages is on by default.

The slide up is off by default. Turn on Footer Slide Up Section first.

If a change does not show

  1. Did it save? Click Save Changes again and wait for the confirmation.
  2. Is a cache serving the old page? Clear your caching plugin and any server or CDN cache, then reload the page on the site.
  3. Did you fill the fields for the right type? The script fields apply only while the type is Script, and the image fields only while it is an image.
  4. Are ads turned off on that post? A post or page can hide its ads; see how to disable ads on one post or page.
